I didn't know if I would enjoying juicing, or even be able to swallow any of the recipes. Recommended units were $300 or more. That was just too much for me to spend on a chance - another gizmo that could end up collecting dust in two weeks. I researched for hours and settled on this unit that I felt would be a good combination of value and price. I regret it. I LOVE juicing and will until I die. This is not the unit for that. I've hardly used it more than two dozen times and there's been considerable deterioration in the unit. It's creating more foam, a more gritty juice, and needs more produce that it did when it was new to make the same amount of juice. This is even with immediately cleaning the unit after each use. With this experience, and more research, I can not recommend this juicer or any centrifugal juicer.

I once had a juicer many years ago that spewed pulp everywhere, and was a total pain to clean. Consequently, I never wanted to use it. This juicer is really easy to clean, especially if you line the pulp compartment with a plastic grocery bag. You still need to rinse all the components (except the motor, of course), and use a cleaning brush on the mesh strainer. Since I don't have a dishwasher, and have to wash it by hand and allow it to air dry, I don't juice every day. I love that I can feed whole vegetables through the tube, although citrus needs to be peeled, and some items need to be trimmed before juicing.
Cons:
- When I put wheatgrass in the juicer, some blades don't get juiced, they just get whipped around.
- Juice dribbles out of the spout even after you wait for the motor to stop and all the juice to come out, resulting in the need to wipe juice off the counter.
Overall, I think this is an excellent value for the price, and I would recommend it to others.

This is my first and only juicer that i have ever owned. So far it does what it says very well. It even comes with a few recipes that you can try out. Great addition for the whole family. The only thing that you have be wary of is the dripping once you remove the juicer cup. But little bit of tissue or a paper towel under the spout will fix it right up! Easy to clean, fun to use. Mine even came with a brush to help make the cleaning easier. I would totally recommend to friends and family ^_^
