Maxpedition 0107 Review by Outdoors Survival Guy (Gettysburg, PA)

I have owned the Pygmy Falcon II for several months now, and I have found it to be a well-made product that has good practical features. With that being said, it is important to have realistic expectations for this product BEFORE you buy it. It will not hold all of your camping equipment and your sleeping bag. However, it does offer MOLLE straps which allow you to expand your cargo capacity by adding extra pouches to the outside of the pack. This is good for those people who like to transfer gear pouches easily between their backpacks.

The stitching and material is reinforced and very durable. I did find the padding on the straps and back to be a little on the thin side. With proper packing techniques, this shouldn't be a problem but it is something to be aware of. The two mesh bottle holders seemed small to me and with a loaded pack it can be harder to fit items into them. Regular water bottles fit OK, but a full size Nalgene bottle was a tighter fit. The elastic cargo strap at the base of the pack it nice for small items but nothing bulky. The interior cargo pockets are very nice and can be used to organize many types of gear.

Overall, I found this pack to be great for EDC or one-day hiking trips. A buyer should remember that the Pygmy Falcon II is designed as a day pack, not a long range hiking bag. It is a great pack as long as it's used for the intended purpose.

I use this for School and EDC purposes. It's small and narrow, but VERY spacious and comfortable. Has a lot of very useful and handy pockets and a nice key Chain clip of a kind. It fits to my back and the padding is great. The Material is basically bullet proof in my opinion. But it's not a gigantic backpack by appearance and that's how i like it. Super useful and a total buy!

I wanted a more sturdier day pack so I got this. I went on youtube and researched the heck out of vaious bags. Choose this cause I like the style, 1000 denier fabric which is tough, and the quality of the bag itself. The profile doesnt stick out. Its narrow width wise. But lots of room and the pockets are nice. The side pockest can fit up to a 40 oz kleen kanteen, which I use daily. Glad I bought this. Now Im eyeballing accessories/pouches for this bag.
